Occasionally people comment or ask me about this.

"You're such a positive person"

"How did you get this way?"

Or a different angle: are you delusional, can't or won't see reality? Or a greedy capitalist who values commercial activity above all else?

According to me, none of those.

It’s NOT because I love all startups in every industry. Most startup activity is super wasteful.

It’s NOT because carbon dioxide removal startups all pursue great ideas. 99% of carbon removal startup businesses will shut down and be forgotten.

It's NOT because I think it's all rainbows and butterflies. Did I say it would be easy? It looks impossible to me too sometimes.

But we have so far to go.

And so little time.

The good ones will change the world.

And our quest is to find a path through to a stable climate and thriving human civilizations.

Thanks for working on sucking carbon from the sky.
