We’re still not proving the need for carbon removal

August 30, 2023

Hi,

Last week I asked you about evidence to prove the need for carbon removal, and what kind of response you get.

I got back hundreds of charts, articles, and data points.

What’s still missing is what actually works.

We AirMiners need a cohesive voice as we advocate for carbon removal alongside decarbonization. My fear is loud, clear voices mistakenly convince the world that decarbonization is enough. And that our charts and data points don't inspire the action we need.

What’s uncomfortable to me about this is that I'm not there yet myself. I’m still looking for the way to demonstrate the need for carbon removal that cuts through all the noise.

What's next? I need your help. We're going to find out what works by talking with other people and discovering what works in those conversations. Then we put the best of that together into the ultimate carbon removal pitch.

This week, take my favorite chart (or your own) and talk it through with one person.

What did they respond to? What worked? Where did they get stuck? Write me back.

Tito

P.S. Go talk to a person and share this chart
