Our biggest batch…so far

February 28, 2023

Two weeks ago, Jason sent out a "hail mary" message to the community with a challenge. To hit our goal towards one gigaton removed by 2030, we needed 15 teams for this batch of our Launchpad accelerator. And we were only on track for 10!

And guess what? The community came together and we got 17 teams confirmed for this batch. It's our biggest batch ever! Huge props to Jason and everyone in the community who contacted founders, tweeted, shared our Nori podcast appearance. One application came in via the NFS newsletter that we didn't even know existed, which shows how much people were pushing to help get the word out.

When we come together, we can do anything.

To stay on track for removing a gigaton of carbon dioxide by 2030, our goal for the next batch in September is 30 teams. I'm not clear on how we get there. But we have 164 days, applications are due on August 11th. That means we have time to help teams improve and iterate between now and then. So let's talk about that.

Here's where we see teams need help on meeting the requirements for Launchpad:

How do we get more teams to resolve these issues and get over the line?

To start here's a few tools that help:

You may be reading this and you don't need one of these solutions.

Where I need your help is in making sure that all the people who need these solutions find out about them.

Do you know someone facing these issues? Will you help me make sure they hear about this?

It's go time!
