I just got back from the CDR Basel 2023 conference in Switzerland where I heard a terrific panel on EU policy for carbon removal purchases.
What caught my attention is the latest with Europe's $750B+ carbon market, EU ETS. They might be adding carbon removal soon, which would be big! But like any customer they will have requirements... potentially even requiring that the carbon is stored within EU borders in order to qualify, eek!
I wonder about new business models opening up, or other business models having a hard time. Short term these are just rumors, but maybe this is something that you're already thinking about or planning for.
